Production
- this type of strapping is manufactured in the same way as the
Extruded PP
Disadvantages
- if tightened too much the strapping may suddenly burst
- difficult to use, the strapping is fairly stiff and rigid, especially at lower temperatures
- slackens within a few hours (loss of tension, dependent on ambient temperature)
- if tightened hard then the PET layer of the fibre is stripped off the buckle
- tears very easily in the longitudinal direction along the fibres
- becomes plastic at more than 30 degrees Celsius or 86 degrees Fahrenheit
|
Application
- strapping of pallets with a havier load
