Production

  • this type of strapping is manufactured in the same way as the
    Extruded PP

 Disadvantages

  • if tightened too much the strapping may suddenly burst
  • difficult to use, the strapping is fairly stiff and rigid, especially at lower temperatures
  • slackens within a few hours (loss of tension, dependent on ambient temperature)
  • if tightened hard then the PET layer of the fibre is stripped off the buckle
  • tears very easily in the longitudinal direction along the fibres
  • becomes plastic at more than 30 degrees Celsius or 86 degrees Fahrenheit

  •
